  1. Sign the declaration on the form to accept code of business ethics.
  2. Members must pay the annual registration fees regularly.
  3. The admission will be per brand (or concept). A brand represents a number of outlets all of the same or similar concepts. The membership is renewed for all shops under the brand.
  4. All Dubai-based outlets per brand should be included in the scheme at any moment in time. Other outlets in the UAE may be admitted on request.
  5. The membership will be renewed automatically on annual basis. However, should the membership is withdrawn in the future; members will be notified in writing. In such case they should not use the DSES logo nor display its certificate.
  6. Members should display the DSES logo in the outlets in a manner that can be easily identified by customers.
  7. Members are expected to participate and support the DSES activities.
  8. The brand should be promoted as DSES member in adverts and publicity campaigns.
  9. The DSES will extend its membership to include outlets throughout the UAE, (for mystery shopper, use of loyalty cards and other training activities). Although desirable, it will not be mandatory for members outside Dubai to display the DSES logo inside the outlet. 
  10. To maintain the membership, the outlet should score above 75% per QUARTER.
  11. The outlets that score less than 75% per YEAR will be turned down the following year.
  12. Members will be offered the possibility to purchase additional mystery shoppers visits at a nominal DSES cost.
  13. Following each mystery shopper's visit, the nominated managers at the member organization shall receive a report outlining the level of compliance with the criteria. The nominated outlet/brand manager will be required to complete an action plan to rectify any shortcoming outlined in the mystery shoppers report. This will form part of the next mystery shopper visit.
  14. All mystery shopper results will be ranked by outlet, brand and industry category in order to identify and recognize high performing outlets.
  15. Any items purchased from members will be refunded within 15 days from the date of purchase. Consumable items will be charged at cost to the maximum value of AED25 per visit.
  16. Based on the quarterly mystery shopper score (high achievers will be selected from each industry once in a year and recognized in a blaze of publicity and a press release).
